Ours is a family business which has been operating in this sector for about 50 years.

Our citrus plantations are situated in the territories of Scordia and Lentini.

We produce four kinds of citrus-fruits mainly:

  1. Tarocco "GALLO" whose ripening starts about at the end of November.Its size varies from 90 to 108 to 160. The main feature is its very thin peel.
  2. Tarocco "dal muso" whose ripening starts at the beginning of December.Its size varies from 72 to 90 to 108.
  3. Tarocco from "Francofonte" whose ripening starts at the beginning of December.Its size varies from 90 to 108 to 160.
  4. Tarocco "nucellare" whose ripening starts about at the end of December. Its size varies from 72 to 90 to 108 to 160.

The main feature of Tarocco from Scordia and Lentini is its blood-pulp and its extreme sweetness.

Our farm has been taking part to a EC project concerning citrus-fruit cultivation with the method of integrated defence since 1995. The method consists of a more natural cultivation of citrus plantations and a no-use of parasiticides and herbicides.
